It takes some people more time than others to find the right one they want to spend the rest of their lives with. For me it was 24 and it was worth all the ridicule

I would say even before then. Worked with a guy at my last job who was a very strong Catholic, about 27 or so. One day at lunch someone finally asked him about his experience. He said his mom gave him "the talk" when he went to college and told him to be sure to use a condom if he had sex and he said "Mom, I'm not gonna have sex. I'm not going to sin" and he had held true to that. He was an awkward dude. Grabbing a boob is wrong but getting drunk at the banquet is fine. Whatever.

I was going to stay a virgin until marriage, but around 24 and out of college, I just felt weird about it and went ahead and had sex with the next girl I dated and never worried about it again.
