At least 2 feet of water on Alaska street (toffical campus flooding thread)

Near The Standard and West Campus Apartments.
Just drove by, only reason I was able to get through was because I had a truck. Three cars were stuck.
There was also a good bit of water on CEBA Lane and Highland north of campus.
How's the flooding every where else? Chances that class will be cancelled tomorrow?

There's no way you drove through 4feet of water...

Highland & LSU Ave was kind of high, and they closed E.Parker between Highland and Lakeshore about an hour ago.

A truck will most certainly go through 4' of water... at least all of the trucks I've owned. (4x4's with a modest lift or leveling kit) I've been in it a few inches from the bottom of the window several times.
However, if you stop, the back end will feel like it's about to float off. A little throttle will bring it back down.

Hopefully if they cancel, they do it tonight before I make the drive from Biloxi at 5:30 am
But you know how that goes

Yeah, if they cancel it'll probably be last minute.
From what I've seen tonight conditions aren't safe at all, and it's supposed to rain all night and all day tomorrow, so conditions aren't going to improve.

Only if you had stacks. That didn't happen with standard exhaust.
