Honestly can’t say anytime in my memory have I walked into a store and noticed how much more expensive normal things I buy every month have become. Alcohol, milk, grapes, ribs, etc…

Everything I’ve picked up so far is at least 10 sometimes 20 percent higher than what i was paying about 2 months ago the last time I was here.

I was not alive in the 70s which is my understanding as the last time we really had an inflation crisis in the US. Is my perspective just skewed or are y’all noticing the same abrupt uptick in prices?

Yeah, but you get it cheaper in bulk. I'm still using the 5 gallons of mayo I bought in 2013.

Everything is much higher. Not just Costco. Grocery store prices are getting ridiculous.

I just laughed yesterday when I saw Lowe's is now selling 2ft and 4ft 2×4 cutoffs. Over $2 each for them, too.

They also no longer use the sticker on the metal plate for prices. Instead they have a little hanger that they slide a printed price tag into. Lumber is going up so fast that they can't even keep up with the price changes, and half this shite isn't even priced. It certainly isn't a shortage for those frickers, though....Lowe's has more inventory now than I have ever seen. Hell, the two closest to my house that I go to most often have stuff now that they've never had before. I used to never be able to find an untreated 4×4 at a Lowe's around here. Yesterday, those frickers had them stacked damn near to the rafters.

Went to Walmart and noticed prices have gone up but not on everything. I have a thing for honey roasted peanuts and found Great Value are very good, better than Planters. They were $1.50 a jar and now they are $1.95. That price change was within two weeks. Colgate toothpaste has gone up about .40?.

A lot of the country is about to figure out what happens when you force people not to work, then pay people stay home, and all the while keep printing money.

We’re in for some hurt.

We're gonna need something to remember you by if you're going through 5 lbs of mayo a week.
