Boring
yea boring things are one of my triggers

I could watch some pencil pusher at some DMV fill out forms and it would make my head tingly and I'd get sleepy

The sounds of an adding machine puts me to sleep. So did my 6th and 10th grade homeroom teachers' voices.

I first noticed I could experience ASMR when I was like 10 but it wasn't until about 5 years ago that I knew it was a thing.

I fall asleep almost every night to this type of stuff

Same. I didn't know anyone else had it or that it was a thing.

Do you pay more attention to the video in lieu of the audio?

I close my eyes and kind of let my imagination work. That seems to work for me.

Interesting. Now I wanna try again and see if that helps lol. I know there's SOMETHING to it that I'm just not getting at all.

I used to get it as young as 6 or 7 when teachers would lick their fingers to take one off off a stack of papers. Weird?

Bob Ross is the King of ASMR.

Before I even knew what ASMR was, watching the Joy of Painting almost always knocked me out. To the point, I finally cured a long bout of insomnia by watching his show every night.
