The loss in power sounds exactly like the condensation in the intercooler issue. The rack issue is a serious danger concern. You will lose all steering if it fails all together

It's listed on the bulb base and the package. Is the base round metal or rectangular plastic? If plastic maybe you're not pushing the bulb in all the way or the actual connector is fried.

I've tried a sylvania then a cheaper one, I forget the brand.

There was a bead or two moisture inside the housing. Could that be it?

The signal lights work fine with the new bulb. It's just throwing off the sensor

Wow. Ok. Thank you.

If I let them know at the dealer, will they fix it? The last two times I brought it in they said they could not find the issue and to bring it in when one of (or all of) the issues are happening. We have family in Birmingham and we make the drive from Baton Rouge to there often, I would have to have that happen with my family in the car at 70mph!

Do insurance companies pay off mechanics in order to "total" cars that are technically fixable with costs below the cars bluebook value.

Sounds like it has high resistance in the connector throwing the signal light. Too much amperage

My truck - 04 2500HD gas

P0174 only (not happening on other side) - Cleaned MAF, O2 sensors are only two years old, and can't hear vacuum leak
Any suggestions on where to start looking for a U1000 fix. I don't want to be chasing wires for two days

Have a 2004 Jeep Cherokee with 200k mi. on it. Why does it burn oil so fast?

Also, it broke down the other day and I was charged $600 for a new battery and spark plugs (plus diagnostic fees). What should I have paid?

Just quoted 1330.86

Both sides upper control arms and lower ball joints with alignment. Thoughts?

With the 6.0 it's probably an intake leak

Those are tough ones man. It sure sounds like a vacuum leak. Intake manifold gasket maybe

meauxjeaux, I'm sure this has been discussed at workplaces and certainly beat to death on automotive forums, but do you think techs should be certificated to work in certain areas of auto repair?
