The funding was a part of that stimulus bill from months ago.
And they don’t have to provide shite. One of my wife’s coworkers has already used like 4 days for two different COVID19 tests. She woke up with a sore throat (not a COVID19 symptom btw, she should probably google so she can at least make it believable) and took a test and had to wait for results. Both results were negative, obviously. She also wasn’t exposed to anyone with it to warrant a test.
Although frankly I don’t blame them. Having to manage in person and virtual kindergarten at the same time is absolutely asinine. The problem is when this girl is out they don’t get subs so they have to add even more kids to each class.
And as someone said in this case, the correct question is why is she at her kids karate class if she can’t come to work due to COVID19 quarantine reasons. Not why is she quarantining from school.

Ooh is this the thread where we bitch about teachers? Haven't seen one of these in a while.
Look, it's really simple: in pretty much every job there are going to be good folk, bad folk, and a whole lot in-between. You were in the military? You should know this. How many chodes did you serve with? There is no difference. Are there poor teachers out there? Yes. Are there good teachers? Yes. Should you personally take responsibility in making sure your children are learning and have every avenue for success? Yes.
Oh, and if this is a "muh taxes" post, I promise you there is far worse spending going on than teachers' salaries.

It's fraud, but no one cares if teachers steal as long as they are there when we drop our kids off. If we have to stay home with our kids to cover for some lying teacher, then that opens them to punishment all the way up the death penalty.
