The best of plans will fall apart within three weeks. I have no doubt AP is going to try to open, but social media makes this hopeless.

I don’t know what they expect working parents to do on ‘remote’ days. Figure it out, I guess. And as soon as one teacher gets it, the shite will hit the fan. I love how they passed the survey with ‘neutral’ votes combined with the ‘comfortable’ votes. There is a teacher’s union to deal with. They haven’t gotten loud yet but they will. Once all of the plans go public there will be parental backlash, teacher and staff backlash, etc. Nobody will be happy. In the admin’s defense, they’re just trying to figure things out last minute as they wait on official guidance from higher up.

It doesn’t even have to be a positive test. All it will take is a rumor.

I have a feeling that the parents who hell bent on their kids going back to school are going to do everything in their power to not let any information leak out if their kid gets COVID or has been exposed to COVID. That way the admin won’t force their kid to stay home for two weeks. Once this happens with enough parents/kids, the school will really have clusterfrick shitshow on its hands dealing with a massive outbreak on campus.

Massive outbreak due to school aged kids??? That would be unprecedented
