I'm aware you're not, but what I quoted from you is more than enough for a defense attorney to run with. I'm not saying I agree with it.
No sense in potentially opening a loophole when it can be handled within the confines of the system through a pardon.

What loophole? If this guy doesn't go to jail, then the precedent set is if you get lost in the system for a time longer than your sentence, then you don't have to go to jail. Otherwise, you go to jail.

That's the threshold that this case would set precedent for. If it had only been 5 years since his conviction and sentencing of 13 years, this really wouldn't be as big of a story. He'd be in jail serving his time.

Like the overwhelming majority of Americans, I believe you lock their asses up so they don't commit more crimes.

What about 10 years on a 13 year sentence?

I'm not trying to make people laugh with me. I was trying to understand your reasoning in the two threads about criminals today. And, fwiw, I wasn't the one initiating personal attacks in this thread.
