The headstone flowers in my wife’s grave have been stolen twice. Also, I put a concrete bench seat next to her and her best friend’s son’s grave and it was stolen within a week. I tried again and it was stolen the second time.

Finally the cemetery proprietor put up a sign about the place being covered by video cameras and the stealing stopped.

I suspected the flowers ended up at flea markets in the area. Sad.

Random fact: In Louisiana, this same crime would qualify as a felony simple burglary punishable up to 12 years.

The king and queen of the gypsies (Emil and Kelly Mitchell) are buried in Rose Hill Cemetary in Meridian. They have been there since 1915.

You can find some really interesting stuff left on their graves, especially after a Gypsie family comes through town. Not that I ever took anything - just looked.

Story is Emil was buried with 15 gold coins in his pocket. The cover stone is thick and heavy.
