Are zoos the trashiest place on earth?

I live in B’ham and always joke with my wife when we are at the zoo that that is the only time i feel like im in alabama. But at the audubon zoo today, and it wasnt much different. How trashy are zoos?

The Caldwell Zoo in Tyler is nice - was free for years. They now charge.
Ft. Worth Zoo used to be awesome - had a small midway with a Mad Mouse roller coaster that was a blast to ride.

The zoo itself isn't trashy. Kinda like Walmart. It's the general trashiness of society today that make these places awful to go to.

I don't see a problem with Audubon Zoo.. I haven't been to the one in Baton Rouge in a long time, but friends of mine with kids, say it just doesn't seem to be kept up as well as it use to be and it just needs new facilities, etc..
When you say trashy are you talking about it is a place that attracts "trashy people"? If you don't like it, you don't like it, but you people think everything is trashy.. I think Alabama is trashy so...

That probably is more what i meant. Although, i dont frequent walmarts because i know what to expect. i guess the zoo caught me off guard.
