I just found out that there is a chickenpocks vaccine. I had no idea.
Heck yeah step kids are vaccinated, though SO does not want to give them the HPV vaccine when they come of age. (afraid of side effects)

We are seeing a major increase in cancers, especially head and neck cancers, due to HPV--- rethink that decision.

Got an anti vaccine coworker. A couple of years ago my family rescued a mutt and the first thing coworker tells me is " You have to make sure to bring him to get his shots." Her kids have had zero vaccinations for fear of autism.

Ofcourse they are. My kids pediatrician is a family friend and one of the better ppl I've ever met. He sees all of our kids free of charge. He gives his kids all of them so why not mine? I know how and what it takes to complete a well and he knows how to treat kids. That's the way I look at it and besides brief explanations I don't question a DOCTORS rec!

I know a chick who rails against vaccinations on FB all the time but she has an autistic kid. Feel kind of bad but I basically just ignore her ignorant posts on the subject.

I actually was worried about him becoming retarded, but they proved there was no link between NMR vaccination and Autism. So I got all of them before he started spending time with other kids.
I don't want to be responsible for him catching a disease, also him giving it to another child.

You know, this is one area where Mississippi can actually be proud.
They have the highest vaccination coverage in the country. Unless there is a medical reason, a child can't attend a public of private school without vaccinations. They don't do any religious or personal belief exemptions.
