Yes but have atleast 30k in it plus some retirement?
I would have thought the average was closer to the 100k mark.

If you're not going to pay cash for a house, and you don't consider the house your "final esting place," there's no urgent need to put a ton of equity into it.

I think you would be shocked at how many people live paycheck-to-paycheck, even those with higher incomes.

Probably for white people and Asians.

Honestly we do that a lot some months
But that's with a 10year and I think we put a good bit into 401k.
So I guess what happens is people are paycheck to paycheck just living it up on all accounts?

It's disturbing that I'm well beyond the average net worth at my young age.

Not shocking that the average is 56k and dropping, when you have half the people living off of the government.

I bet the OT's average net worth and household income is nearly double the national average. Same with education level.
As much as it's joked about, this board really is full of ballers and scholars.

I'm not worried- We are all Obama's children and he will care for us.

I'm pretty sure 6 figures puts you in the top 10%.

For the most part, the board is full of college educated white males, with exceptions, of course. That demographic alone puts the OT in a better situation than the 'average' American.
