Interesting, my dad is tending to several dialysis patients in the unit he runs and he's in a costume.

It is sad to hear that those preschoolers need dialysis.

Well, if your weren't such a huge nerd with a mega important job with deadlines and numbers to crunch, what would you have liked to dress as, assuming you have had fun in the past and have an idea of how to have fun still?

To all the "serious" job people. It must suck to be so low in the totem pole you can't have fun anymore.

As for me? Full penguin suit.

I don't stay at work long enough on Friday to justify a costume

Yea, I am leaving in the next couple hours. That is partially why i dressed up since it is only for a couple hours. I would be too cool for dressing up like everyone if i had a job i had to stay the entire day on Fridays.

I have a serious job. And many people are dressed up. My crushing depression keeps me from having the creativity or energy to participate.

Happy Halloween everybody.

I used to wear a penguin suit every year but it's not a good move. The Taiwanese fiscal year ends November first, so many times international companies have to trim fat on Halloween. You have any idea how hard it is to fire a man and ruin his and his family's lives in a penguin suit? It's not easy in a regular suit but when you're trying to be all happy and fun dressed up like an aquatic bird, it somehow stings a bit more. Well we had one guy who didn't take the news so well and instead of going home to tell his pregnant wife, he decided to eat a bottle full of xanex in our parking lot. I gave him CPR until the ambulance came. There was nothing they could do. But they did get to see a man in a penguin suit trying to breath life into a broken man, is that the kind of laughs and chuckles you want from your day of dress up? To me, it's just not with it.

I usually dress up but my coworkers never do so I quit this year. They were actually upset that I didn't and usually seek me out to see what I wore.

Should have put a backup in the truck.
