I’m content. Just want to travel more. No one has ever gave me anything. I work hard and spend hard. Leaving a little for my grown kids. Other than that, they can work for what they want. I became content from hard work and a great wife!

Maybe it’s because I’m old, but since my 50s I’ve been winnowing things down. I find I do not need a lot and even gave up my country club membership. I want to leave money to my grand daughters (although they are very well provided for now).
I live comfortably but I suppose I fall into the category that Sinead O’Conner sung about, “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got”.

I'm normally content but all of my stuff is old and worn out. I'm contemplating a move in the near future and rather than packing all of this crap up and renting a U-haul I think I'm going to just sell/dump it all minus some good clothes, my laptop and any important files, photos or sentimental items and start completely fresh - new car, new clothes, new furniture, new tidbits, etc. It's just "stuff".

I want good food and drink but as far as “stuff”, I’m good. Losing everything in Katrina made me realize how little any of it meant.

Yep, the more stuff you get rid of the more free you are.
Internally and externally.
Whats the old saying, you spend the first half of your life accumulating stuff, the last half getting rid of it.

I am pretty content. I do want things that are safe and reliable though.
