Money is a tool that can be used productively or destructively. Your choice.

If you're bitching because you don't have any, only you can change that situation.

Working for money is better than giving up freedom/choice for "free" shite from the government.

If you live in North America (minus Mexico), Western Europe, or several Asian and South American countries, you were literally born into the most free, most technologically advanced, most comfortable, most secure society in human history.
Just shows that some will whine and bitch no matter what they've been given or how many generations sacrificed to give it to them.

While I am sure this sounded good in your head the last three superlatives ensure that the first one isn't accurate.

It beats a life of fighting each moment just to find your next meal while battling disease and war.

Stop being a consumer, build a bit of wealth for a while and then your money can be a slave to you.

Can you find any evidence that it is an inaccurate statement?

You know how you can tell someone is educated but pathetically unintelligent?

Good luck doing that today with the endless list of codes and regulations in most cities/towns.

Some of those codes are in the best interest of the people, but depending on where you are building there are a lot of bullshite codes that seem like they are there to jam up a project.. If the local government has a reason to want to jam up a project.

I mentioned it on here before. In college I worked for the local government Building permit and inspection department. Saw it happen first hand.

For example. Some small time preacher wants to build a church on property he owns. Next to that property is an old building that was once a bar. But someone inside of that local government plans on going into business with someone to reopen that bar, however; a bar can't be open within 500 yds of a church or school... So they use petty codes to jam up the church from being complete so that the bar can be open.

So I would say we are slaves to the government as well.

Which people?

Nothing benetfits everyone.

No. Many people live their whole lives dirt poor and they are fine. We are slaves to problems. You can have all the money or none of the money, you will still have problems.

To me that is a sophomoric way to look at it. I would spin it by saying we are fueled by the pursuit of happiness, and we think of money as the engine to true freedom to do what one wants.

The LOVE of money is one thing. Working hard to accumulate wealth and secure your future, your kids' futures, and if you're really good... your grandchildren.

Money is an engine. It can be used for good/bad... but our nature is self serving bc it stems from an evolutionary defense mechanism called survival.
