It's bullshite. They removed them in masks, covered up signs on equipment, with police support.

Call your councilman, or run against them next time around.
Seriously, if there are really that many people in the city that are disgusted running against the incumbent councilman will be easy.

Let them be distracted by surface level, meaningless changes to protect their feelings while the educated and employed continue to hold power across all industry and influence legislation.

The monument removal is nothing more than a distraction, symbolism over substance. New Orleans is loaded with crime and poverty. They can fix it, which will piss off a lot of people, or they can whine about monuments and remove them.
The KKK couldn't come up with a better plan that the local black "leaders." "Let's keep the low income population fixated on symbols so they don't demand that we do something about our terrible schools, high crime, etc."
