In Baton Rouge? Why would you be afraid for your life on Staring?

A couple of more losses and LSU would be playing in the Birmingham Bowl. These Louisiana baws could come to the game and experience the local flavor of west Birmingham and see how it compares

I have been to "historic" Legion field and got lost for a while afterwards.

That was an interesting night. Somehow avoided getting shot in Birmingham but got pelted by hail on the interstate when a tornado passed west of town right in front of us.

If you have no reason to go there, its best to avoid everything north of Florida Blvd to at least airline. There are certain areas that are worse than others, but I would just go down those streets at night for hell of it. Also, there are areas from the Interstate to the north gates of LSU that wouldn't be a very good idea to go around.

In New Orleans, the obvious would be 9th ward.. Although I don't think it is AS bad as it use to be. There are areas along South Claiborne I would avoid as well. Holly Grove..

"President" streets

I got lost over there after the Bama game because I forgot what street I had parked on. Seemed ok when I parked there because lots of people were. But walking around there at 11pm by myself with no one else in sight for almost an hour looking for my car

Dude there are areas of NOLA I amscared to be in, in broad daylight.

The boxed in area behind Dowman (Cessna Ct area), The Florida area. Parts of the upper ninth ward. Parts of the 7th and 8th.

There are some rough as hell areas.

Algiers in old aurora near the ferry.
Central City near where Loyola ends.
The forgotten part of Hollygrove by airline.

Lots of areas where you get a lot of eyes on you, and you can get jacked quickly.

lol, I made the dumb mistake of moving in with a friend from back home. Said friend went to southern and was a large football player. He had an apartment on GSRI. It looked nice enough so I moved in. After having my car broken into twice and hearing gunshots at night sometimes, I gave up. Even though we were splitting $410 a month rent and the place was big, it wasn't for me.

This was on the west side of Gadere, the road is no longer called GSRI there anymore and there is a large complex next to the apartments I used to live in.

Go drive down bayou fountain avenue after dark. That's the little ghetto behind the Baskin robbins. Mistakenly signed a year lease at a place back there for my first apartment because I couldn't get a lease anywhere else.

It took my 2 nights living there before I bought my first handgun. There was a murder and a pretty brutal rape about 6 months into me living there.

Still can't believe I used to live back there.

Eta this is off staring

My dad played football at LA Tech in the early-mid 80's he had a pretty good large black friend named tank that was from one of the wards in NOLA, maybe 9th ward. Idk for sure though.

Anyway, them two and some other buddies from the team were going to NOLA for the weekend and when they got to NOLA, tank told them to take him to his house. So they did and when they got on the exit ramp tank told them to stop and let him out and that he'd walk from there. My dad said "what the hell for man? We're taking you to your house." All tank said back to them was "y'all wouldn't make it a mile into where I have to go to get home."

Realizing that they were all pasty white guys, they obliged and met up with him at the on ramp at the end of the weekend.

I live in a good part of Lafayette so I'm pretty comfortable, but to be honest I park near U-View during football season, and I sort of get nervous once I hit West Parker leaving Tiger Stadium. Basically meaning I'm never really comfortable walking anywhere in Baton Rouge at night

About 200 or more in NOLA. Walk down Alabo St. in the lower Ninth Ward or Holly Grove or different areas off Louisiana Ave if you'd like to see.

But yeah, there are definitely areas I avoid in NOLA. My inlaws live in the marigny, and the bywater and st claude have some sketchy arse parts to them

Used to walk home alone all through these areas from the quarter in the EARLY to late AM drunk. Never had an issue.

Yeah, I did some title repair work on a duplex on Skysail, and decided to drive past Tim one day. Turned a corner and saw a group of about 20 youths gathered in the street in front of the duplex. Decided my curiosity was not important enough to continue.

In high school I drove into Scotlanville all the time to buy booze. Never had a problem back then. Maybe I'm old and chicken now.
