re: Are there truly any areas in BR/NOLA that you wouldn't walk alone at night

I used to drive a guy home from my job that didn't have a car. Had to bring him off plank to Sherwood Ave. I didn't want to seem like a bitch by telling him I didn't feel comfortable doing that. I damn sure didn't stop any stop signs after I dropped him off though.

How do you even post here and not know this? That's first day shite.

About 200 or more in NOLA. Walk down Alabo St. in the lower Ninth Ward or Holly Grove or different areas off Louisiana Ave if you'd like to see.
Would you ever go to Little Woods or Lower 9th Ward at night?

hear about bad neighborhoods and yes they exist but are there really any areas you truly would avoid and stay away from?
Yes they exist but it's not like there are sketchy types there with nothing better to do than rob or attack random passerby who look like they stepped in the wrong neighborhood. It just means the area is more likely than average to consist of criminals and crime.
Sounds like you could take a long walk in the quarter across Rampart into Treme on Saturday night.
After that you should tour MLK Blvd uptown.
Let us know how it is.

What do you think about Little Woods?

No. That's what I said. Plenty other places I wouldn't go as well.
Why are you focused on Little Woods?

Why are you so concerned about specific neighborhoods? You don't even live in LA

South Claiborne area or any other predominantly black area in N.O.
Ask Thomas Rolfes' family about that place.

The south Claiborne area? Do you understand how big of a street Claiborne is

In New Orleans it would be easier to list the areas that I would walk through alone at night

I broke down off of Fuque in BR and I had a gun pulled on me. I work on plank and I would not leave the parking lot without expecting to get hustled or robbed. We deliver meds to some really scary spots where the locals will start chasing the driver down on foot. Come to B Ara and I will give you a tour numbskull.

Off topic but why do you have an impressive hate for Texas A&M?
That question doesn't make sense. Why WOULDN'T he hate that dog worshipping cult?

Little Woods in the east? It's actually mostly working class, has some rough patches but no where near the worst in the east.
I'm more nervous off of Chef or Downman. Though onetime I was taking a slow drive and killing tie and I drove down old gentilly in the east and came across a group of vietnamese beating a guy up and they looked at me like I was next. Was odd.
If you ever notice most of the Vietnamese houses in the east have fenced in front yards, they keep good watch of their areas (mostly Michoud area)

Vietnamese gangs are the least talk about which is crazy because the have their own hitmen and the rarely use the police. They police themselves they even run most of the chop shops in the city. The Asian completely control and run Michoud.

You obviously are not from either baton rouge or Nola.....
There are TRULY many areas that should not be walked alone, in both cities. NOLA is worse as the bad is woven throughout everywhere. BR the bad is in large but well known ares.
