Nope. We’re constantly being berated for not wearing masks, gathering in groups, etc. we’re told cases, hospitalizations and deaths are all out of control because people are being irresponsible. So which is it? Are we doing enough or not?

No one has claimed that masks completely mitigate COVID19. It has been preached to us that wearing masks, washing hands, and social distancing will all reduce transmission rates, not eliminate transmission. When our best mitigation efforts are still not enough and then you compound that with wintertime and folks disregarding protocol, well, it results in what you're seeing on then news....another 9/11 every fricking day.

Science and scientists are pretty damn good at what they do. A global pandemic, a highly contagious virus moving silently from person to person around the globe, isn't exactly a weak opponent. The basics (masks, distancing, handwashing) are simply best practices known at this time to minimize spread without any real scientific knowledge pertaining to this particular virus. Regardless of virus strain, we know those basic precautions will be at least semi-reliable mitigants to any virus...kind of like we're seeing with influenza where these steps are proving incredibly effective.

If you have a kid in the car with a shitty diaper, you know that rolling down your window will help with the smell. That's mitigation. That's a reliable strategy. Sometimes you can still smell the shite-soaked diaper with the windows down. Does that dissuade you from rolling down the windows the next time it happens? Of course not. So why are people questioning a basic course of viral mitigation? Those making that decision are devoid of common sense.

But not the Covid?

No, cuz it’s “so much more contagious” than the fricking flu or the common cold—which of course is also a coronavirus. Lol

Doth do protest too much

People will cry that the covid numbers are all made up, but then the low flu numbers can't be made up as well? The flu numbers are being moved to covid numbers?

Why not just fake the covid numbers more? Or fake both numbers?

You are saying that the stories can't be kept straight, but can't even make these two trains of thoughts agree with each other.

frick, they have 30k covid tests a day that could be dicked around with and only return a 5-10% positivity rate. If they wanted to pump numbers up just fake the 27,000 daily negative results.

The flu normally kills at least 50,000 to 60,000 Americans every year, even with rapid testing and widely available vaccine... the overwhelming majority of those deaths occur during peak flu season, which is 2 to 3 months. So, yes, it’s very contagious.

So, we don’t have densely populated areas of this country? With millions of people living crammed together?

Ok. Look at the numbers in Florida (open) vs. California (locked down) and tell me if it works. Who could have less exposure than nursing home residents?!?!? Lockdown certainly doesn’t help them!! Just go along with the plandenic.

How much money are hospitals, urgent cares, nursing homes, states etc getting from the feds for a flu case versus COVID?

Way less from covid

That is why resources aren't being dedicated to covid cases. Hence the lack of resources and hospitals saying "our staff is the limit"

Staff that worked covid units in the spring are not working covid units now. The hospitals would lose money doing so.
