Are Invicta watches worth a crap?

Doing some post holiday bargain hunting while I watch the NBA and found a stainless chronograph for $60 w/ retail price of $795.
90% off looks like a great deal, but are they overpriced junk to begin with?

I like mine, but I think that retail price is quite a bit overstated.

Huge pieces of junk. Try to find an Invicta not 80-90% off... They're $50 watches posing as Tags, Omega's, Rolex's, etc.
Complete garbage
Complete garbage

I met a guy who got reallllllly offended when I couldn't hold in a laugh while he was bragging to everybody about the "deal" he got on his Invicta. I would normally ignore people like that but I was drunk and couldn't help it.
It was awkward to begin with and he then asked wtf my problem was after I started rolling. CSB I know.
Summary: Don't wear an Invicta if you want to talk watches with people you don't know. You might get laughed at. Loudly.

Thanks for the heads up fellas.
I didn't know anything about them and it seemed sketch.

It's the old if it seems too good to be true thing. Almost everytime you see something that claims to be a mark down like that then it isn't anything more than marketing. If it was really worth that much then they would be selling it for at least kind of close to that much.
It might be a decent cheap watch though if you don't really care and kind of like the styling. I just wouldn't brag about it to watch afficionados.

I have an Invicta watch and I like it. It has black and gold trim.
However, I don't pretend that it is a fancy watch.
It was a stocking stuffer from my parents in 2012 and I appreciate it for what it is.

For Invicta prices get you one of these: LINK
I'd put this up against any Invicta.

Invicta watches are about like a Fossil watch, the 75 to 100 range. They look nice but realistically won't hold up like a nicer watch will. If you take care of it you can get some years of service out of one, my dad bought one for some reason about a year and a half ago and still has it.
Would I wear one? Most likely not. I like my Tag a lot and it has been absolutely bullet proof in the 5 years I have had it. I bought an Omega Planet Ocean last year and after wearing it for 6 months, sold it off losing about 1000 on it but it is better than it sitting in a watch winder waiting to be stolen.
Good watches can be bought at any price point, it just depends on how well you take care of them.

It's a decent cheap watch and looks nice, but they are no name brand.

I have seen the Avi-8 brand pop up on Amazon of late and I actually really like the looks of the watch although the IWC Pilot are some of my favorite watches. The Avi-8 has the same looks except they don't have but a few with a steel band. I have large wrists so i need steel bands with links added typically over a leather band.

Don't let a band scare you away from a good watch. You can always swap a leather band for something like this: LINK

not sure if you are serious but I wouldn't wear that band on anything plus the classic looking Pilot watches almost need the look of a rustic leather band or canvas band. I would be more prone to buy an old canvas band if I bought one like the Avi-8 watch but I know nothing about them at all.

Gotcha, though I disagree with the mesh bracelet look on a pilot. Don't know anything about avi-8.

that picture actually looks pretty sharp, would have never put them together myself but I would check that watch out in a store.

They are throw away watches. If they break, nobody will service them, and if by chance you find someone who will, the parts are expensive as frick and you'll be waiting a long time to get them. Don't waste your money

They're like Sturhling watches on amazon. MSRP of $800 but I can get it now for $50. Really? I'm sure a ton fall for it though.
