I'm all for these shackles, hooks, truck nuts, etc. Helps me determine who's a dumbass a lot faster.

Isn't this the anti-thesis to the Truck Nuts, must be Truck Vagina

At least his bumper is protected from dumbasses who can't drive. I never take my hitch off for that reason, and it's saved my bumper a few times.
No sorry about their radiator either.

I had a Cotton license plate on my Tahoe back in the day. Then again, my family actually grew the shite out of the stuff.

I saw an arse clown in Baton Rouge with a Hummer last year who had a 45# olympic bar plate on his trailer hitch.

I saw a moron yesterday with a fricking Jason Voorhies mask hanging from the rear view mirror of his car. Now, just picture that for a second. It wasn't a miniature mask; it would fit an adult's head. It was blocking approximately 1/3 of his windshield. Yes, how could that possibly go wrong?

I had to get a military hitch for my half ton Silverado to tow a John Deere Whisperwatt generator. It weighed around 5 and a half tons filled with diesel. The hitch looked stupid on my truck and I keep it in my workshop when not in use.

It looks nothing like that ridiculous appendage in the OP. That's looks incredibly stupid and pretty much useless. I can't think of an application for something like that, and I'm pretty creative when it comes to using my truck.

please tell me he also had a calvin/hobbs pissing on Ford/Chevy/Dodge sticker or the ever popular "Salt Life", 'Hooked on Quack", "if its brown its down", "Team Realtree", Yeti, or stupid Fleur di Lis comprised of fishhook, Drake and antler silhouette.

I leave mine on just because I parallel park a lot. If someone gets too close, I can take it off and have an extra five inches to maneuver.

You can see the very top of some stupid deer/hunting sticker on the rear windshield, so you are evidently on the money.
