Saw a pretty awesome cartoon where a woman was staring through a hospital window at her husband dying out of reach in the hospital bed and some nurses dancing for a tiktok video behind her.

Thought it pretty well summed up "brave" hospital workers.

Bravery isn’t up to you and I to decide for someone else. That distinction lies in the heart and mind of the individual.

If person A goes into work and isn’t afraid to be there, they aren’t showing bravery.

If person B goes into work and is genuinely afraid to be there, then they are showing bravery.

I'll tell you who's brave. The guy who takes a shite in a porta potty on a construction site that has over 200 mexicans working it everyday.

That's fricking brave.

Are oil and gas workers butt hurt?

I say yes. The venom spewed at HC workers is crazy. Are they heroes? No. Not for this.

Ebola? Different story.

Is a cop a hero? Depends on the day. Daily grind. Writing tickets. Trailer trash drama call # 2320? Not so much. Bailing off into a cold river or creek with half his gear still on because there MIGHT be a kid in the car? That’s kinda heroic.

Nurse hero??? Pontificate it after being elbow deep in a 300 lb GI bleed who is bedridden and a renal patient.
