Probably. It won't be a broad swath of industries/product lines because (mitigations):
A) many have been stockpiling inventory as confirmed by GDP and COGS on earnings reports
B) despite media reports, many of these tariffs aren't actually in place yet allowing for, primarily, companies to adjust their supply chains and, secondarily, a trade deal to be made reversing the tariffs
* just the announcement, not the tariff itself has caused the reactions, good and bad.

I’m not an internet economist, but I have been in a truck or two. Freight volumes on Chinese dollar general bs are down. Freight on food, chemicals, and general consumer goods are up. Before one of you Debbie downers start telling me I’m wrong, feel free to send me an email address I can get you into a truck tomorrow, you can help my guys take that 40k off and report back.

Manufacturers are unaware where they are…..manufacturing things?
So apparently they merely brand a good bit of the shite they manufacture so they aren't actually manufacturing anything only putting a decal with their name on it....basically all they do is ship the item when it is ordered.

Well then they aren’t Square D buckets lol
As far as Square D was concerned they were Square D buckets....until we discovered they may have been something other than Square D buckets...at which point Square D agreed, they did indeed appear to be something other than Square D buckets. A "normal" end used would have probably never discovered the discrepancy.

A lot of posters in here would make great loyal Party members in an authoritarian regime.

I wonder what these complainers said when we bankrupted small businesses during COVID lockdowns?
Yeah I remember the economic upheaval that took place during the last Trump administration also....it was bad and we haven't recovered yet, those small family businesses that were destroyed by the Trump administrations over reaction will never recover and the people those businesses represent will take a long time to recover...

As for food, where does he majority come from ?
Most comes from the U.S. or Mexico.
China sells U.S. a lot of shitty seafood and farm raised fish like pangasius and tilapia. As far I’m concerned I’d be happy if that crap never showed up in stores again

100% agree.
Seafood is now "mystery meat" at a lot of restaurants, and not just low-end ones, either.
