And holding a phone to your ear looks a lot more stupid than walking hands free.
Do you even think about things before you say them. Talking hands free for no other reason except just doing it is the douchey-ist, look-at-me thing someone can do. Unless you are driving, carrying heavy boxes with both arms, or lost both of your arms, put the damned phone to your ear.

Ya holding a phone to your ear looks pretty normal in 2016

Guy in my office wears one. It looks obnoxious but he is on the phone a lot so I guess it makes sense for him. I'd rather not be that tied to a phone but for some it's not an option.

I think that the photo does represent the typical user.

I had one of these bad boys when i drove cross country - people couldn't tell if I was driving or not when talking to me when I had that set. The background noise cancellation was amazing on those.

They never were in style unless you lived in section 8 housing and drove an escalade with big rims.

It ties up one of your hands......and on smart phones, much more business is required (calendar, documents, contacts, etc) that uses both hands. Eating, drinking, writing, etc
When I say in the gym, I mean for music! I don't talk on phone in gym, but I Bluetooth Pandora to wireless speakers.
Sorry, but your are the one looking like a clown with a 6" device upbtobyour ear with a finger stuck in the other in public.

They would have to have been in style at some point to have gone out of style.

Thing about douche bags is they don't realize it or else they'd stop. This is a PSA. Stop doing what you are doing.

So you don't have hands free in your vehicle?
