aqua pro. looks alot like this, the big 'trash can' looking thing is where you dump the salt pellets.

Did you do it yourself? I know you tinker.

Before we did the RO thing we looked into whole house but surprisingly couldn't find any good leads on an installer/provider who could hand hold us.

I'm sure they exist, but the ones we found seemed scammy and when we asked the reputable plumbing outfits they told us we could buy whatever and they'd install it (but they wouldn't assess/recommend/etc.).

I’m looking to get a whole house system. The tap water in NOLA concerns me. I’ve done minimal research (ie just read the water quality reports) but something about getting our water from the Mississippi, and all the shite that follows down river, just doesn’t sit right.

The only people who drink from the tap in NOLA are the poor, broke college students, and hippies.

Any family middle class and up has a water delivery service or a whole house filter.

In addition to worrying about the water from the Mississippi, the water system is full of leaks. Impurities are going to enter that way.

If you cant afford a whole house filter/R.O unit, get bottle water delivery with a water fountain.

Whole house filter and water softener in a town that has very hard water. Huge difference, worth every penny, wish I had done it 10 years earlier
Aquasure brand
