I’ve got a trip to Mexico in a couple weeks, and I’m worried about how mine looks. TIA

You can get one here in Houston same day downtown if you are willing to bitch and wait. We do it for our employees all the time.

As long as the Passport is valid for your trip you are fine in Mexico

So, it isn’t expired? Is it intact?

A place in Houston can get it in a day at their passport office. Used to be one in poydras in New Orleans but I think that office still has a few day turn around.
Within two weeks you need to do it at a passport oxygen office I wouldn't trust expedited

No not expired, but I’ve heard they can screw you if they want if it’s warped, frayed, etc

You believe everything Facebook tells you? Jesus Christ. Grow a pair. Your passport is fine.

I've used Texas Passport Services (Houston) before. About 36 hrs. and $150 for a quick replacement if I remember correctly (been awhile).

They were very good about entry visas, but that's a different thing alltogether.

can happen. Happened to me once (DRC).

Can always ask for a second one w/10 pages while on foreign soil as a backup. I always kept a backup. Not every embassy will do it and have to have a valid reason (mine was it kept getting held up by africans for exit visas... for months).

I think we need to see a pic. Most passports are good for a decade. They can see a lot of action. I’ve seen some from frequent international travelers that are well worn.

Just cross at one of the many unofficial border crossings--only, in the opposite direction.

Don't think you need a passport to get in and out of Mexico.

ID and birth certificate will work.

Are you in Louisiana?

Schedule appt at office in New Orleans.
Have your itinerary showing leaving within two weeks.

If they don’t have appt available contact Garrett Graves office.

I had to do this last year for an impromptu trip to Cabo

no way I’m handing over my passport a couple weeks from a trip

Also 700 for a passport is an absolute scam
