Did not work. Dry needling is much better.

Got a massive infection from an insanitary needle from a reputable place in town. Beware.

I’ve done it and found relief. Dry needling was more effective for me, but acupuncture was helpful.

I tried it and it was great. I think it matters who you go to though. I got mine done in the Caribbean from an Indian doctor who studied in Australia. More people should try it before they start taking Rx’s.

I somehow tweaked my neck and couldn’t turn my head. About 6 treatments and I was good.

Science shows it works for some and not others. Mostly depends on the type of pain and location. Plenty of good research studies available on the subject.

It works for many but it’s purely placebo effect.

Not true. There were double blind studies showing it was more effective than placebo in some areas of the body.

I've been taking acupuncture treatments for about a month now trying to recover from the stroke and it is definitely helping it's allowing me to get movement back in my right arm that wasn't there I'm fighting atrophy because of the length of time I was unable to get therapy because of the pandemic hysteria

But he hooks electricity up to the needles and he tells me he's using large gauge needles because of the time that's passed

What are you getting it for, OP? I tried it for migraines years ago and I didn't find much of a difference.

Friend of mine was a CAD monkey for many years and developed severe carpal tunnel syndrome.
Tried everything except surgery for many years afterwards until stumbling into acupuncture. It was the only thing that healed him.
He swears by it

I go once a month for back issues. It releases my involuntary contracted muscles, mostly in the hips or hamstrings, that have plagued me with back problems for years. That and a steady diet of yoga have worked for me.

Did dry needling when in physical therapy years ago for sciatica. I find it to be the same as what they did for me in PT.
