Anyone teach web courses for legit universities?

Yeah, my BS is in Civil. I thought about electives in business for engineering majors. I just want to end up at a state school, and I assume the competition is fierce for positions.

Yeah, I have a ton of experience in web courses, as most of my MBA was online through a major state school. I bet there is a major difference vs U of Phonix, etc.

My ideal location is an SEC school. Live right off campus and bike in every day. I see the future of learning taking place online. It is too efficient, and you don’t need the overhead of brick and mortar locations.

I agree with this, but there are likely only a couple of SEC schools who would even dream of embracing online education within the next 5-10 years. They certainly won't be any schools in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama.

The SEC typically isn't the most revolutionary group of schools.

I've heard that the people who take online classes now are morons with a ton of personal issues fricking everything up. Basically, they take online because their lives are disasters and they can't handle the rigid brick and mortar school schedule. Is this true?

Yes. If you want to teach, there are a few routes. An MBA gets you at most a Lecturer position, where you'd have to teach 4-5 courses a semester. You can go the adjunct route and get paid per course, but it's not permanent.

Typically, you have to have 18 credit hours of advanced course work in the field you want to teach. If you only do an MBA, you better hope you can come to some agreement with the Dean of the college in which you'll want to teach.

If you go the PhD route, then it's much easier to get something permanent, though tenure-track jobs are getting much more competitive and you may have to take a lecturer position.

All that said, if you want to just pick up some side teaching gigs in online courses, just browse large online universities (they don't have to be private like Phoenix) and see the requirements for adjunct positions. Apply for one just to get your name in the pool.
