I always assumed they were around $80. Why are they $155? Are they made to be a running shoe?

i think they charge that because they are made in the USA and they will play into that as much as possible

anyone remember what the really popular new balance model was around 1999-2000? i had a couple pairs and they were probably my favorite shoe of all time.

edit- might have been 801 or 802 all terrain trail shoes

On my third pair of 993s. Big fan of the 998, 997, 996, and MT590 as well.
I own more Nikes but I think NB consistently puts out a better quality shoe than the other major brands.

Made in 'Merica. I got a pair. Two years now and I'll get another pair...when these wear out.

I have two pairs of the 993s but I think they were less than $155. Very well made, very comfortable, and made in the USA. I'll replace them with more when they wear out.

I have a shoe problem. what can I say I'm a fan of a variety of nice shoes.

My 993s are the most well made most comfy tennis shoes I've ever owned. About to replace them after 7 solid years.

I have a pair of 992s and a pair 993s. Actually they are the only tennis shoes I have.

I'm not style conscious but I appreciate comfortable footwear.
