The worst is when you get those itchy zits on your lips that eventually get all scabbed up......

Whatever you do, don't pop it--that inverted "triangle" of skin between your eyes and nose scars far more easily than pretty much anywhere else on the human body.

It's been a long time since I've had one there. The best thing I've ever done is take a rag and run it under the hottest I could get it through tap and used a bar Ivory soap to lather the rag. If the the zit was red and not white yet, I would just hold the rag on it with some pressure but not very hard. Tended to numb it a little. I repeated that a couple more times and then slightly rub the area. Most of the time it never developed puss and cleaned the pore.

Now if it had puss, I did the same as above but held it much longer until the skin softened enough and gently passed the rag over it and it opened up. Once all the puss was out and it started to bleed a little, I ran the cold tap on another rag and applied some pressure to it. It won't leave you looking like Homie the Clown if you were to squeeze it.

Never done a pin like that to the nose.

Although, once when I was about 13 had some heavy wood drop on my big top and blood formed under the nail and it was throbbing so bad. My dad, who was a medic in the Army during Nam, later heated a paper clip on our gas stove and it got close to the nail but didn't touch it. The heat was enough to open a little hole in the nail for the blood to release.

Man, that seems like the worse area to get it there. Never had it there. Just on the outside on the side and near the tip.

Are you sure it's a zit? If it hurts bad enough it could be a staph infection. I had one about a year ago in the nose and the pain was some of the worst I have experienced.

Hey jester "TheDude"! Your post in regards to pawpaws store was brought to my attention today by a client. Being I now have his inventory, this person was curious about the store and googled the reviews. I'm trying to keep his name alive with a respectful name and that one tiny reply could completely sabotage that. I'd like to fulfill his life's work by reopening another store. He's not well and all I want to do is make him proud and at ease knowing I'll do my best to keep it going in his honor. -Britt

Hate to tell you, but that's more likely staph than a zit. Keep your finger out of your nose and go get a prescription for Mupirocin, you dirty MRSA carrier.

Yeah, if you can't pop it put some Clearasil on it daily.
