this PAR house i'm in is like 1500-1600 feet and it's 3 BR/2BA with a 2nd floor and porch. it was around $180k a few years ago

i think the same models are $225-230k now. insanely good deal that i wish i had the resources to have taken advantage of a few years ago

but while living here, i realize that you could cut off the 2nd floor and i could live in this house without issue, or use the upstairs BRs as an office and production room or something

The only beneft is you get to feel superior to gross proles by not living in a motor home.

Funny this thread showed up. Watched a tv show last night where they built a 150 square foot tiny house, then i switched to a mega mansions show just to see both ends of the spectrum . I think a nice inbetween would do, 150ft is not enough but I don't need a mansion where you wouldn't even step foot in all the rooms

Isn't an RV going to cost more like $200k+?

$635

People have gone crazy with rental prices here thinking a lot of out of state workers are coming when in reality the influx hasn't happened due to laid off oilfield workers sliding into those LNG jobs and the scope of those projects being cut back. Several LC Realtors have told me the market came to a screeching halt all of a sudden.

yeah i'm so lucky to live with my friend. now that he has a girlfriend he's never even over here. i'm basically the caretaker of his house for $500/mo + 1/2 utilities (which is expensive b/c we have lots of luxury add-ons). i don't care what the OT says, a deal > pride

Also the ability to design it to fit your tastes/design style.

Plus a motorhome means another combustion engine to maintain and less of a home feel I would think.

Plus your location is pretty nice. Can't really beat being so close to the water or the zoo behind the mall.

This would be about the smallest I would consider...800 sq. ft. Anything else would be as a friend so eloquently described "A fart box".

I live in a city where often this is the only option, and for $2000 a month.

I'd rather live in a houseboat, at least until winter. It gets cold as frick on the river with the wind blowing. One thing I damn sure don't miss about my old lake house is the winter.

I'd like to get. Something around 400 to 500 Sq ft. I don't need anything larger, hate cleaning and am thrifty as hell

I've seen some pretty nice Yurts (on TV & in pics) that I could easily live in.

Never been in one though.

that 800 footer looks real inviting

it'd be sweet with a waterproof basement

but I like it here too much, even with 2 morons for neighbors...
