I started on season 2 but in hindsight I should have started from the beginning to really understand the depth of how these pedophile rings crossed each other. Truly impressive what these two have uncovered and how sick these guys are. Just when you think it can’t get any worse it does by a 100x.
The fact that one of pedophiles wrote their stories for the True Crimes TV series is even more insane.

I listened and agree it’s really good. Its supposed connection to True Detective Season 1 is what hooked me. But it seems to never end or get anywhere?

Sounds like the La State Police/La AG are closing in on the rings now and Burkhardt’s court appearance is next week. From the sound of it they now have all the evidence to start indictments.

I'm glad you posted this. I listened to Season 1, but I didn't realize there was a Season 2. I'm now on Ep. 28 of Season 2 and my jaw has been on the floor. The extent of the New Orleans pedophile network discussed is absolutely mind blowing. It sounds conspiratorial, but she has done her research and has evidence to back up all of her claims.
The fact that Stanley Burkhardt keeps getting out of prison makes me think that some of the federal judges are sympathetic because they're pedophiles too. I don't understand how there are so many sickos out there who know how to find each other and create secret networks to traffic children. I'm also interested in the psychology of it all. What makes a person go down this path? Is it mainly the cycle of sexual abuse that perpetuates itself, or is there more to it? It's all horrifying.

The communication network she found with the old ads in the paper with telephone numbers was good work.

Agreed the amount of work she has put into this case and the amount of luck she has had in finding these hidden gems is truly amazing. The Netflix or Amazon movie that will be made based on this will be incredible.
