Is there this type of person at every job? Someone who is always asking to borrow a $1 or two to get something out the vending machine or for one reason or another?
I don't loan anyone money because frick them. You do it once and you are who they coming back to the next time, but just as bad as those who ask are those who can't say no.

This is why you tell them to frick off. It's never a loan. It's a donation. They see you as a charity.

I just discovered the other day my 15 year old son has over $3k in his checking account.
He’s cut off. No more “just a couple dollars” for that little fricker.

clearly you don't believe it's better to give than to receive, except in the form of dreadful internet posts.

I remember once I knew this guy who would always do stuff. I remember asking him if he knew a guy who was always doing stuff, and he told me he remembered a guy who was always asking him if he knew a guy who was always doing stuff. I asked him if he'd mind my asking him about this guy always asking him, and he said no, he wouldn't mind my asking him about this who was always asking him. So I asked him about this guy who always asking him, and he said, "Don't ask".

It was just sitting there, ready for someone to pick it up, your honor.

When I was in the middle of my addiction (5 years clean now) I worked at a place big enough that I could score enough for the next score by walking around at smoke breaks asking for $1 from everyone.
So glad I'm past those days it had to be fricking annoying and sad from the other side

I have an friend of many years who constantly asks for money. He never pays it back and always has a sob story. He is not that bright and is also bipolar so i have felt bad for him and helped. He never pays anything back.
Recently he became homeless and was sleeping in his vehicle then wrecked that too.
He shows up at my house, uninvited, with no way to get back to town unless i make the 2 hour round trip. We put him up for the weekend, feed him, etc and let him stay in our other house on our property that we are going to move into.
He tells me that he has a great idea! We need to rent our house to him for $200 a month ( with us paying all utilities, cable and internet). We obviously say no.
He manages to break a pole, left a huge mess of our fishing gear, rummaged thru stuff and went thru my toolbox to "get his tools back". ( these are tool he sold me, that i bought out of pity).
On the final day, he decides to confront me and tell me that i am not treating him as a guest should be treated. I remind him that we never invited him here. I have had enough and drive him an hour away to a bar that he requested to go to.
We arrive at the bar and he lets me know he will be back next weekend.
Yeah, that is NOT gonna happen. I am done with his bullshite.

Damn, so he wanted you to help him out and be hospitable while doing it?

I’ve got a guy that constantly has a “major dilemma” and it always has something to do with his kid. Sad but I know he’s lying. Had to cut him off, not a bad guy he just can’t seem to stay away from the boats. It gets old quick but it’ll build your immunity for the dick outside of Home Depot asking for $40 for a bus pass to New Orleans.
