Asking for a friend. His future ex says she doesn't want lawyers involved. I told him that was fricking dumb because there is a kid involved and he will get taken to the woodshed. TIA

He needs a lawyer to draw up the papers at a minimum. Doesn't necessarily need a trial though.

My ex and I split the cost of the lawer who filed the paperwork. Wrote up what we wanted together. I have 50/50 custody and pay no child support. I'm not a deadbeat dad however and pay half of whatever bills come up for him. My ex actually spent the night in our spare bedroom Xmas eve so when my son woke up all his parents were there. So sometimes it can work out well.

We did it that way too. Negotiate the details together, and then have the lawyers draw it up. Way cheaper.

This process is way easier if you only marry chicks who will make a decent ex. Marry well.

Just fyi, there is a strong possibility this isn't legally binding and she can come after you for all the child support you never paid one day.

This is what my coworker was doing

Until the wife found out he was already banging someone else. She was already banging someone else as well but got real butthurt that he was doing the same. So now she's going to take him to the cleaners

He missed the incorrect pluralization of "teachers" in his correction too.

I will read the above sentence 10 times to make sure it is right.

, too.

You should have used "as well" anyway.

I can't back up either of those corrections.
