Missing Persons is a criminally underrated band from the 80s. Dale Bozzio was Madonna and Lady Gaga (style wise, anyway) before either of them.

Missing Persons is one of the most underrated bands of all time. The rare new wave band that had serious musical chops. Terry Bozzio played with Zappa before starting the band & he is one of the greatest drummers ever. Just look up his career & who all he has played with.
You are right about Dale Bozzio. Lady Gaga completely ripped off the early version of her look from Dale Bozzio. 99% of Lady Gaga fans have no idea who Dale Bozzio is.

I was probably in 5th or 6th grade at the time. I liked the Santana performance during the Labor Day one in 1982. I think the Memorial Day 1983 had a country part. Seems like Alabama was there.

I remember the discussion between my parents and their friends. Some movies were only released on VHS, and some only on Betamax. So that no one would miss out on a movie, they got VHS and we got Betamax.
All those units were expensive though....500-1000 dollars.

Wasn't just hair bands. They had a lot of "new wave" bands too. It's awesome to see how many soon-to-be-classic bands were on their game that early on--INXS, Berlin, Divinyls, etc.
