How about a destination event? I heard Hedonism II is fun.

I did, but I failed miserably.

We went to a restaurant that she didn’t like and turns out, she knew her friends were all going to be there.

So to sum it up, I didn’t listen to what she really wanted all these years (for her 40th) and I brought her to a type of cuisine she doesn’t like. So to sum it up, I didn’t listen.

And apparently, I still don’t. I mean well, but I just suck most of the time.

Good feedback. I’m not trying to make this a surprise party really I don’t think. Also thinking about using an actual event location as opposed to an already busy restaurant. What do you think?

Not trying to make it a second wedding. I thought cruise as a possibility, but I have 4 kids myself and wouldn’t want to be on a boat with them...

If she's into fantasy just take her for a ride in your plane.

Have you asked her? I agree I see a lot of women not wanting people to celebrate her being the big 40 with her. Your plans sound pricey, I personally would prefer to go on a trip just her and I for a birthday of mine. My wife does like a party though.
