What's the airline and airport status these days? Are airports ghost towns? How are you baws who fly once a week making it?
What's the atmosphere like on the plane and in the airport?

I know someone who flew back to Nola from Nashville and said there were 11 people on the flight. This was last Friday or Saturday.

I still don’t understand how air travel is allowed right now.

I'm near one of the approaches for IAH. There are usually a handful of planes that can be seen on approach at any time. I haven't seen a plane all day today.

Looking at flightaware, there are 1185 major commercial flights active right now.
SWA 308
American 200
United 190
Delta 159
SkyWest 145
Alaska 93
JerBlue 90
I want to say that number would normally be 3000+. Most of the ones that are flying are probably mostly empty also.
There are about 8700 flights within, into or out of the US cancelled today

I have a flight with Frontier on 4/1 from Nola to Denver. Frontier has sent me 3 emails so far saying they would reimburse my flight and give me $50 if I cancel. Strange. They must want to cancel the flight but need to get paid passengers down to a certain number. That's all I've got. Anyone else have any ideas?

CSB: a girl I worked with for several years married the guy who started Flight Aware (before he started it).
Jennifer Baker...no pics, sorry.

I live near a smaller, but busy airport and I've seen maybe 2 planes since Friday evening when I got home. Granted I'm not always looking but I was out pretty much all day Saturday and was actively looking because it was so quiet. Then it dawned on me why it was so quiet and I've been checking periodically to see what's up over there. Because some branch of the military runs drills over there a lot and I was looking for any increased activity. None on that, or any front for that airport

737 driver here. DFW-VPS-DFW-JAX on Sunday. 35-55 pax on each flight. Headed back to DFW tomorrow, 42 pax scheduled.
Freight, transplant organs, etc, etc. still gotta move. Maybe your a-hole ex had the kids over spring break in Fla, or Cali or Maine. You want 'em home? Your Mom falls in Portland or Vancouver and may not last the day. You want to get there to see her? Lots or reasons folks still need to move around even in these times. Are we to the point we need to absolutely go martial law and confine everyone to quarters? We'll see.
