There aren’t many women . In related news they lead the country in per capita gloryholes.

My current job would have to be pretty terrible to take that.

Never worked there but the slope is flat, never ending tundra. Supposed to get up to a foot of snow tonight.
I do know from friends that have that the working conditions are good.

Watch the show Life Below Zero about the different folks that live in Alaska around the arctic circle.

Or when you want to make enough money for 4 years of tuition at ULL in 3 months

I had a guy I graduated HS with that had a pending felony charge and supposedly disappeared to Northern Alaska

Yep. On the north slope of the Brooks Range. Might be less toward the sea.

My BIL, his brother, my nephew and father worked there for decades and loved it. The pay was awesome and they were treated well while on the slope.
If you have a wife or family they will have to adjust to you being away for a week, 2 weeks or more at a time. BUT then you get a week or more off to be home 24/7 so it works out well.
Why not give it a try? You might be surprised to find out how much you love it there. If you like the outdoors then a job like that gives you lots of time and money to pursue the things you love.
I lived in Alaska for years and loved it. I still have family there. If you have any kind of sense of adventure, why not give it a try? What do you have to lose?
