Anyone here ever been to Oktoberfest?

I'd like to go within the next few years before I get settled down with a family. Who here has been and what sort of stories can you share? Just reading about the event makes me giddy like a school girl.

Actually flying to Germany. I'd honestly be fine with being out there just for one day but ideally two. Might make a bigger trip out of it and go to a couple of other countries as well.

My wife works in Munich we go every year her school rents out a portion of a tent. It is a good time they have tents set up that can hold thousands of people and it is pretty much drinking beer and having a good time.
