Add to that the fact that most people are not just going to take a few tokes and then go on their merry way. No, they'll have a beer or two with it and get behind the wheel of a car and then all bets are off.

Dude those people were going to have a couple of beers anyway.

Should be legalized. Nope, I am not a partaker. Was about 40 years ago. Have seen much more destructive behavior from people using alcohol.

I've used and abused both extensively in the past. Alcohol is far worse.

I think it is completely insane that it is illegal in most states considering other things that are legal to sell. There is no legit justifiable reason for it to be illegal.

This is what cracks me up about you potheads.

it's insane it's illegal in states, because other states took advantage of obama not wanting to prosecute states that legalized something that is against federal law.

your paragraph is what is insane. Pro or not, it's just a stupid pothead rationalization.

Uhh... if I can venture to guess, the whole basis of it being against federal law is 90% of what we've been discussing in this thread.

I wish someone would convince me that it should be legal. I was in Denver this past week and it seemed like all the service staff were braindead AF. Terrible service and I’m usually not one to bitch about stuff like that because I’m a pretty easy going baw but this was outrageously terrible. Nice city overall though.

I think my hangup is how can it be legal within the state yet you could potentially get shitcanned from your job if you opted to smoke after work? Doesn’t add up to me. I’d like to think of our country as not needing weed to get by and I’m all about our freedom etc but like the kid eating his dads meth today, just doesn’t sit well with me. Will heroin on the streets be legalized next? What about fentanyl for babies?

Convince me overlords of tOT as I’m open to listen.

No - our country is incapable of making enough browneys and banana pudding to legalize it. The shortages would be crippling to our way of life.

You know I am right. You are just too naïve to admit it.

No heart and soul at the moment. Mostly bored and sipping some Makers Mark, killing time

And gigging you because you’ve been missed.

So we should give them more substances to alter their perceptions? Brilliant!

There were so many asinine points in this post that I couldn't choose just one to respond to.

So instead I just bolded them.

No, the problem is, a lot of people can't handle freedom responsibly, which gives government the excuse it needs to come down heavy-handedly on the citizenry.
