What makes you think your dog is different than a chicken? Because he licks your face? Or is happy to see the image that feeds him?

Two words that should never be used together:

however, the fact that they beat and torture the dogs and cats prior to boiling them alive is fricking appalling and i wish nothing but a miserable death on anyone that partakes in this tradition.

im not specifically against them eating dog meat, as i understand its a cultural thing, and I'm sure that as ethical as we try to be with our livestock, there are some sick frickers out there who torture and mistreat the animals they raise. however, the fact that they beat and torture the dogs and cats prior to boiling them alive is fricking appalling and i wish nothing but a miserable death on anyone that partakes in this tradition.
Agree.
Dogs are incredibly intelligent, social, and loving (when raised) animals. If they raised them as livestock and killed them humanely I would still hate it, but I would understand the cultural differences.
They beat and torture these animals and BOIL THEM ALIVE in some cases. Read one case where they SKINNED THEM ALIVE. The whole point of the festival is to inflict as much pain as possible into the animal before killing it.
If anyone thinks that is ok, they shouldn't be allowed to breathe.

I'd say that's a pretty good start...

You don't think chickens respond when they see the thing that feeds them?

While the process of raising veal to not have any muscle mass is pretty fricked up, they still feed them, give them water, and kill them humanely.
The Chinese frickers savagely beat the dogs, torture them while they yelp and scream, often times boiling, burning, or skinning them ALIVE. The point of veal isn’t to inflict as much pain as possible via torture before killing them.

Dude, if we are to be outraged at the biggest culture in the world, lets look at bigger issues than them being mean to dogs.

We can't look at more than 1 thing at once?

Also, this is an easy fix. It won't kill their economy, it won't change their social landscape, it won't hurt their government. Its an "easy win".
Much easier than getting them to stop polution, which comes from factories producing goods to export that run their economy.

Solid point which shuts down my logical fallacy.

A plant responds to sunlight. So?

We don't boil chicken alive. We don't set fire to their backsides and kill them slowly.
