Capitalism isn't ideal, but it's the best system we have.

That is the beauty of our economic system, everyone is free to find a better job, change careers, is their current situation is not working out.
Also, if someone is working very hard and are not being compensated fairly for their work, but they continue doing it, just how intelligent are they?

You want to know our secret? We don’t line our pockets with the money we earn, we make enough and payout high bonuses and benefits. It can work and does, I’ve proven it.

A bunch of people who employ others and decide what that’s jobs worth is? The market could easily be interchangeable with the elites....could it not

This is a fundamental flaw in many anti-capitalistic arguments, IMO. It implies 'the system' is externally placed over the populace by 'the elites'. In actuality, no one just decides what the system will be-- it is organic. It flows and develops over time. That is the beauty.

And 'the market' is most certainly not comprised primarily of elites making decisions. Certainly, they are part. But I am, and you are, and the dude that cuts the grass is. What people choose to consume creates the market. Everyone plays a role. Plastic slip on flip flops aren't de-rigueur on Wall St I don't think, but more of those are on shelves in every dang dollar general and Walmart than about anything else. THAT is the market at work.

Another note-- I think we often lose sight of what we are actually doing when we work. You raise an issue of 'giving 40 hrs' to soemone else. If we stripped the world down to ultimate basics, and you had to build your own shelter and grow, trap, hunt, prepare, cook, and store your own food and create your own health concoctions, etc -- how many hours of hard work would that take per week? I'd submit --- pretty much ALL the hours. Ours is the best 'system'in human history, precisely because it grew out of a desire to not actually have a system. Each person could do what they though was in their best interest and market that to other folks so as to improve their own lives. It has worked quite well, I'd say.

No system will ever make all decisions have equal outcomes, nor should they.

The system has already been invented by Andrew Galambos. It is being built lt out now through companies being organized using the Blockchain and crypto currencies. The revolution is underway.

Mainstream wise, the Austrian Economic model is the closest thing to it.

You didn't read what I wrote.

I said people are rewarded for working hard and making smart decisions.

That is totally different. Smart people make dumb decisions all the time regarding career/business/finances. And lots of dumb people make smart decisions regarding career/business/finances.

What if you live paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford to quit. Don’t be stupid and make me think of a legit situation this happens in that doesn’t involve drugs, kids, or stupidity.

Imperialism. If we have the power to take a country/continent, do it. Most of us join the military. Sack and pillage all towns and give the residents the ability to become Americans citizens or a worse alternative. United States of the World.

The flaw in your entire argument is that you assume humans make the economically wisest and most moral decisions

The great thing about the current system is you can live like you choose, you can retrain or re-educate to improve yourself, you can work full time, part time, seasonal, etc....

You can buy a large house and fancy cars, you can live in a tent if you want. There's no limit to the possibilities. All you have to do is pick a lifestyle, find out how to afford it, get the required education and training and you're on your way.

How if you work 70 hours a week to pay for a place to sleep, food, transportation, etc.

I mean I know it’s possible to live a great life no doubt and I’m not even saying it’s that hard, but it seems like there is a better way than having to grind out your life instead of enjoying it
