Nah. We are all inherently selfish. We are chiefly motivated by our own survival and our own well-being. To ignore that human nature is to ignore reality. Instead, that nature must be harnessed and re-directed to do public good.

so you acknowledge we are not intelligent enough to make our own decisions? So you think other people, like you and I, should be the ones harnessing this "nature" from us because we can't ourselves? If this is the case, why would anyone follow another human? We know they are inherently selfish and will do whats best from them over us.......

Let me rephrase it for you Roger, Money is the last thing that lets us differentiate ourselves and make us feel like we are individually more important than someone with less. Look back at the comments. Based on popular opinion, unless you are wealthy and successful, you are lazy and make bad decisions. We have a problem as a species, we have a need to be important.

Some of us are more important than others. Is that not obvious?

The great thing about free market capitalism, you don't have to. You can live on your own terms if you choose

A balance in how much we redistribute to others that had no part in creating said wealth? Not in my book

So you think Issac Newton is less important than CD man? Or equally important?

Smdh

Do you really think people are equal? That is observationally false.

Imagine being a 20 year old creative writing student who thinks social hierarchies will cease in a money-free world.

I've got one that's never been implemented correctly, requires a disastrously bloody revolution to implement, and, if implemented incorrectly; results in the deaths of millions of people and the economic collapse of the host nation. Would you like to try it out?

Gotcha, so what guarantee do you have in a free market that the companies won't just pay everyone just enough to survive? Lets say we switched to a free market today, right now. What do you think would happen? Look at who owns who lol. A free market economy would mean 4 companies control everything as of right now. Start a business you say? Wouldn't the companies know they could buy everyone up without federal restrictions? They would just find a magic number low enough to not matter to them but high enough for you to sell to them. How would that play out you think?

This is incorrect and is lower level thinking. Many people choose a simple life and are very content.

People need to create, they don't need to be important.

Is that really what you read?!? Wow..... No a balance in keeping a motivating element for innovation
