Oh absolutely, I just got it in March. The U.S. probably had 200-300 of them, you won't find one at dealerships now, they're all sold.

LOL. Getting her as your waitress at Hooters would be equally as bad as getting a toy yoda.

If you’re in outside sales I need to take high dollar contract customers to lunch on a regular basis, you have no choice but to have a high-end vehicle as your daily driver. I know guys that put 50,000 miles a year on very expensive vehicles, but you can’t pick up the owner of a company or a high-level executive in a Toyota Corolla with 200,000 miles on it

Before I wised up and learned not to use vintage cars as daily drivers, I've driven a 1971 Jensen Interceptor (British GT with big block Chrysler drive train, Aston Martin competitor), 1969 Chrysler 300 convertible (still own it) and a 1970 Mercedes 280 SL as daily drivers.

I would never do it again. I drive reliable hoopties to work.

I dailyed the GTR for a couple months when I was in between my Tundra and GX. It wasn’t fun hunting down that much E85.

I miss my 06 mini S. I'm going to have to pick one of those up in a few years for a toy later. I do miss a 6-speed. That is the only car that made going to the grocery store and exciting time.

She won her lawsuit. Not sure if she bought a Toyota with the settlement though.

quote:

The exact amount of money that she was awarded was not publicly disclosed, but her attorney David Noll did say that it was enough that she could walk into a dealership and 'pick out whatever type of Toyota she wants'.

If you have “high dollar” customers, you are flying to these meetings.

Used to have an M5 as my DD. Always a blast embarrassing Vette & Porsche owners.

Sure, whatever you say, if flying someone from the west side of Fort Worth to downtown Dallas for a lunch meeting is how things work in your world

But it’s not me: in the 90s I knew a guy who did instrumentation work as an independent subcontractor in plants and his work vehicle was a green ‘85 Corvette.

My dad worked with a guy that used to frequently drive a ZR1 to the plant in the early/mid 90s. But he was also a little “throwed off” from what I understood Brilliant, but off.

It’s not a DD now because I’ve still got kiddos in car seats for a few more years but I’ve been fixing up a 1976 Bronco I bought last year. It’s running and drivable but I’ve still got a lot of maintenance (rear diff fluid change, new clutch, swap fuel sending), to do before I hit the roads outside of our little area.

This is a certain type of “rich”

We have a lady in payroll who drives a 2018 Lexus with 200,000 miles on it… but she drives a Lexus

I took his comment as someone who bought new and drives the shite out of it vs buying a 130K mile Z06.

Sounds your lady is a different scenario.
