It's not the same... you won't have the mounting flange to sit on your cabinet opening. However, with some backyard engineering and fabrication one could perhaps make it work.

Really depends on the brand.

You could always build a shelf to sit the grill on if it's not self-supporting, or buy and insulated jacket (although I wouldn't do this unless it was necessary.

For best results, just use 1-inch galvanized tubing for support. It's strong as shite an won't rust.

Charcoal grills do but you don't really need airflow w/ propane

Uhh yes you do, propane will not burn without some sort of vent. It. Requires O2 just like any other fire.

What brand? Some are the same grill head, just put into a cart.

Saber SS 670
They do sell this with just the head, but the venting on the back looks like it may be a little different. I was thinking about just building cabinets to go around it versus taking the cart totally apart

My buddy just built a gap into his cabinets and rolled the grill into the gap and added a couple of pieces of hinged cabinet face across the front. Swing the pieces open to access under the grill. Not as finished or professional looking as a built in but it works, he can swap out the grill if it rusts and it was economical. Not a biggie for Ballers but others might care.
