I just got a text that my connecting flight from Houston to Lafayette at 5 was cancelled and I was re-booked for 9:00 tonight. The radar looks like a mess and flight aware shows major delays continue, so I doubt the 9:00 will be on time.

Should I drive and be home by 8:30 or take my chances and spend 5 hours in Houston waiting on the 9:00 to be home by 10?

Driving Houston to Lafayette in a storm sucks, but so does a 5 hour layover on a maybe. It's a tough call.

Houston may have some flooding today...you may want to check the route for your destination if you plan to drive.

She said stay to stay away from home as long as possible. . . and not to pay any attention to the news on some website called Ashley Monroe?

Yeah, but Murphy's law of travel is a bitch. I'll drive and get caught in a wreck on I-10, getting home at 11 while my flight lands 5 minutes early!

Several options for you. Ask united to get you on the 230 pm flight to LFT. Ask to get on standby for the 7pm flight to LFT. Get on the 330pm flight to BTR and hitch a ride from someone here.

More like a 12 pack of beer and drive. That's a long drive. I would just drive though

I had a flight out of IAH postponed for weather several times. I waited all day for them to finally cancel it, and they didn't reschedule til two days later

So I'd probably drive
