Pigeon Forge is a nice area. My SO had never been to Tennessee before (I knew the area since I had relatives in Greeneville) but after going she loves it.

If you go there go see the Motown Revue at the Grand Majestic Theatre.

Gotta get past the name, but we’ve stayed in numerous cabins through the years at Cobbly Nob. Just outside of Gatlinburg with a great golf course and terrific views.

I rented at Land's Creek Cabins in Bryson City. Fabulous and can't wait to return.

Used cabins USA about 4 or 5 years ago. Some of the best prices and I had no issues. They had terrible reviews so maybe I just got lucky.

Important things to remember:

1. You get what you pay for, specifically in regards to amenities, location, and overall upkeep. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a cabin for rent out there and the bottom 60% or so are the equivalent of a shitty motel room with none of the convenience. These things are in the woods, so a "bargain" can mean anything from bug infestation to major plumbing issues.

2. A cabin isn't an oasis in the woods or a place to kick back and relax after a long day of tourist stuff, the cabin is part of the experience. If you're going to do a lot of shopping, eating in town, etc you're probably better off with a hotel room. A big draw to a cabin is enjoying the cabin itself and the surrounding woods.

3. If you're too tired to cook and opt to just order pizza, they likely won't deliver out to the middle of kingdom come. Neither they, nor any of the locals, will have any fricking clue where Pine Bark Circle or whatever is.

Check out these people. Rented from them a few times. Great rates and the owners maintain the cabins themselves.

My folks did years ago. Nice place. Over a cliff. Strange thing. Naked pictures of women everywhere in it. I def jerked off.
