I go every few weeks for work, and every single male in their late 20's should move there.
It really is a cool town, and from April through October, everyone is outdoors.
Nov-March, not so much, but we actually have more rainfall in Louisiana than they do there.
It is always just a light mist.

Seattle just leaves me cold. I don't really care for the self-congratulatory "aren't we awesome" Seattle talk.

So you enjoy being around west coast Canadians more?

no kidding bc has the nerve to put "the best place on earth" on their license plates, but seattlites are the smug ones.

It beats the hell out of anywhere in LA, good luck in making the decision though.

I actually turned down a job there that would've doubled my salary and dramatically accelerated my career. I'd much rather stay in Monroe, where people are simple and down to earth. No liberals and hippies here.

I am currently moving from Seattle. Its a beautiful place, lots to do, awesome of you like winter sports, the people are nice, very low crime and its clean. There is a ton of work and the wages there are good.

Awesome beer and it really doesn't rain all the time. The winter is just gray, gloomy, and misty.

The summers are awesome but I think its mainly because the late fall and winter suck so bad you really enjoy the summers.

Google "Seattle Freeze" its a very real phenomenon. Everyone you meet is nice on the surface but they really don't have a desire to for a real friendship.

The only other negative is its far. When we travel back to Baton Rouge of to my in-laws in Florida it takes a half a day to get where you are going. This really wasn't much a problem until we had kids.

Glad to hear you love it there. That's what it's all about.
