Going for business next week and no, I don't work for the window company.

Anything fun to do or see? I can't imagine but I figured I'd at least ask.

How far away are you from Iowa City?

The ped-mall/downtown area there is awesome.

Wonder around the town. May find yourself,...in the twilight zone.

Yes, I have been to Pella. Very small town, and proud of it's Dutch heritage. They have built sort of a small historic village. I wouldn't exactly call it fun, but it's there if you want to see it.

If you want something unique and local, try a Pella Bologna sandwich. It's not actually bologna, but a big smoked sausage that they cut into slices. Not bad.

Pella Windows or Central College?

Small town near nothing of interest with an obsessive Dutch heritage. It's kind of odd. All the signage is grounded, which is somewhat of a redeeming quality.

Very strange, hyper-conservative mentality. They take their tulips seriously in Pella.

Yes, I've been a few times. There's not too much there as far as tourist stuff. Tons of windmills everywhere. Just drive to Des Moines.

I'm not sure what he will find there that's worth an hour drive.

Des Moines is a joke.

That's an hour and a half and Iowa City is dead in the summer.

Not much to do. If you can find a guide on the reservoir nearby (Redrock I think) and crappie fish. That place has an amazing number and quality of crappie.

Pella itself is less than exciting.

I wonder if Bucky Larson still lives in Iowa?
