I have always been curious what its like in there. how many people per cell. is it like the movies? what is the average day like

It’s a filthy hell hole. People make noise all night, and you get called on line very early, so most people try to get some sleep during the day. There’s basically nothing to do. The yards are small, and they don’t get much time outside. Unless my clients have family locally they want to visit, most would rather be housed out of parish.
Eta: unless you are on lockdown, you sleep dorm style, not in individual cells.

Was in there for about 11 hours. Its cold as shite in there and the frequent flyer dudes soak toilet paper and throw it up into the AC vent to try to stop the air. For my 11 hours, there was 6 of us in the cell.
I don’t recommend going. Not my proudest moment.

Had a couple of roommates that enjoyed the life. Said it wasn't bad at all. But, definitely preferred our spacious living space on siegen and i10.
